“Excellence” is a drive from inside, not outside.

A German once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby. Surprised, he asked the sculptor, “Do you need two statues of the same idol?” “No,” said the sculptor without looking up, “We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage.” The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. “Where is the damage?” he asked. “There is a scratch on the nose of the idol.” said the sculptor, still busy with his work. “Where are you going to install the idol?”

The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high. “If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?” the gentleman asked… The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, “I will know it.”
The desire to excel is exclusive of the fact whether someone else appreciates it or not. “Excellence” is a drive from inside, not outside. Excellence is not for someone else to notice but for your own satisfaction and efficiency…

Change Your Perspective and See Miraculous Change in Your World.

ow we view ourselves, others and the world has a profound effect on the quality of our lives. Change your perspective and see miraculous changes in your world.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Ask this question to an eight year old and you will receive an answer full of wonder and inspiration. You will hear unbelievable things. Children are full of wonder and hope.

In their beautiful little minds, failure is not even a remote possibility. They don’t know how it will happen, but they believe that it will. They have faith that they can do anything. Children have excellent vision.

Our vision becomes clouded and obscured over time. Someone tells us something negative about who we are, and our vision of how we see our “self” gets blurry. People around us tell us we cannot have, do or be whatever we want, because those wonderful things only happen to select people, and so how we view the possibility of achieving our dreams is now out of focus. We are told life is hard; people cannot be trusted, either through the fearful words of others or our own experience. We are told negative things about people of different races, genders, sexual preferences and political or religious views. Now our vision of how we see the world and everyone in it is distorted.

Just change your perspective and start believing in yourself and you will see miraculous changes in your physical life. Remember, the change starts in your inner plane or mind first and then it is transformed in your physical world.

Robert Ballard - Discover of the Titanic

Fortunately, I can visualize in three-dimensions. I think any good field mapper can look at a map and see the Grand Canyon in three dimensions. You conceptualize, because you can’t see more than 30 or 40 feet under the ocean. So you must have a complete sense of reference. I don’t know whether that’s a gift, a compass that’s built into your brain, like a bird’s ability to migrate. I can know where north, south, east and west is at all times. I can remember where I was, and I can integrate it all in my mind. So when I go down there, I’m not lost. I’m very comfortable in total darkness with just a flashlight. It’s like working in the Rocky Mountains at night in a snowstorm from a helicopter with a spotlight. You can develop that skill. Certain people have that three-dimensional skill set.

Don’t Quit …

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
when the funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile but you have to sigh,
when care is pressing you down a bit - rest if you must,
but don’t you quit.

Story of a Boy who Played with Seagulls …

A young man who lived by the sea loved seagulls. Every morning at daybreak he would go to the seaside and play with the gulls. Hundreds of gulls would come to him and not fly away.

His father said, ‘I heard that seagulls like to play with you. Catch a few for me so that I can play with them too.’

The next morning when the father went to the seaside the seagulls swooped about in the skies but none came down to him.

The message of this parable is that one may try, but unable to, hide one’s inner thoughts. Even birds and animals can sense one’s true feelings.

You Can Be Whatever You Want To Be!

There is inside you
all of the potential
to be whatever you want to be,
all of the energy
to do whatever you want to do.

Imagine yourself as you would like to be,
doing what you want to do,
and each day, take one step
towards your dream.

And though at times it may seem too
difficult to continue,
hold on to your dream.

One morning you will awake to find
that you are the person you dreamed of,
doing what you wanted to do,
simply because you had the courage
to believe in your potential
and to hold on to your dream.

The most beautiful part of existence is the ability to dream …

Have you ever clung to a desire for so long that your eyes saw nothing else? The most beautiful part of existence is the ability to dream, to aspire toward a goal, no matter how lofty! Like the little girl with her hand outstretched to the stars, hoping for just one touch of the cosmos. Try

The idea that is not dangerous is not worthy of being called an idea at all.

Elbert Hubbard said, ‘The idea that is not dangerous is not worthy of being called an idea at all.’

Your Best is Yet to Come

No matter where you’ve been, how much setback you have met, who left you or how bad life has treated you, fix it in your mind that ‘YOUR BEST IS YET TO COME.’ Don’t allow your mind to be boxed into accepting that you are finished because I know, “Your latter will be greater than your past and what is before you is greater than that behind you (insha Allah)”

The greatest crime in the world …

Roger Williams said “The greatest crime in the world is not developing your potential. When you do what you do best, you are helping not only yourself, but the world. ” Every human being is unique and special and so is his or her potential.  Allah is the greatest author and His every book is great and special. We all are His creations, His books. But we can perform excellence only if we realise our true boundless potential lying with all of us. Human scietists say that we use only 3 to 4 percent of our potential throughout our lives. Rest of the potential lies unrealised and unused throughout our lives. Sukrat rightly said, ‘Know Thyself’ and I believe this is the first and the foremost key to unlock the secret of a great and wonderful life. Iqbal also wanted us realize our true potential.
