If you are facing violent opposition from people for nothing and you find no reason for thier efforts to put you down. You should then learn that it is only that you have some talent, some extraordinary qualities, some leadership skills which distinguish your personality from others, which help you not to be a part of the crowd and which can help you outcompete your friends, fellows, colleagues, peers and even your seniors. No one feels jealousy for a common and ordinary person. What you just need to do is not to disheart yourself, nor get angry, forgive them and focus on your big dreams.

The topic of Khari’s upcoming program Positive Plus on PTV Home will be “The Great Leader - Muhammad Ali Jinnah”. This program will go on air on Thursday 30th April 2009 at 7:50 am.
Yesterday night I was invited by the Rotarians at Serena Hotel Faisalabad to give a talk on “Marching towards a greater & Positive Pakistan”. In my speech I quoted also the following verses of Amjad Islam Amjad which were liked by the audience very much.

Almost everyone remains happy and satisfied in good times when plenty of material possessions are available. When one has money, job, conveyance, friends and near and dear ones. It is not an extraordinary trait to be happy and contented in these joyful times. The real test of your positive thinking starts in tough times. When you are penniless, unemployed, without conveyance, friends scarcity and may be away from your loved ones. This is the time when you have to hold fast to positivity, have faith in God and should not loose hope.

Doctor: Madam, your husband needs rest and peace of mind, so here are some sleeping pills.
Woman: Doctor, when should I give them to him?
Doctor: Oh no, these are for you.
Keep smiling - it makes you happy & attractive and helps you overcome stress & anxiety.
He who cannot conquer himself, how come he can win the world. Every worthwhile achievement has a price tag on it. One has to pay the price to accomplish the success. And the price of success is always in form of hard work, consistency, persistence, determination and courage. All these qualities of man require him to overcome his own negativity, laziness, sluggishness, procrastination and ill-will. One has to overpower his own “Nafas” to acquire all those extraordinary human qualities which pave the way for a greater success.

Life is an echo, all comes back, the good, the bad, the bliss, the grief. Give world what you best have and the best will come back to you. This is law of nature. Egyptian scholar, Imam Al Banna said: ” Happiness, which every person is longing for, streams to them from thier own hearts and minds. Likewise, hardship, from which every one tries to escape befalls them from thier own hearts as well”. Simply stating, if you want love, give love, want happiness, make others happy, want respect, do respect others, want to be pardoned, start forgiving others and the list goes on. Lets resolve to spread love, kindness and bliss in the humanity…

It has been said that every bad situation has even something good in it which is beyond the scope of our understanding and only God knows that. If you are positive you will think that even the stopped clock tells right time twice in 24 hours. Yes we can pick the positive out of negative as well. And when we change our lens, we change our world. We wear either positive lens or negative. If we wear positive lens, we will see and attrace more positive people, events and circumstances. This has been scientifically proved.

In spite of its great technological advancement, computer is far behind than human mind in complexity, speed and functionality. Mind is made up of trillions of nerve cells and it is estimated that even a single cell has boundless potential to store data.

Your heart is the source of feelings, emotions and passion which you require to give yourself energy, inspiration and motivation. If you face even a great setback, you need not to lose hope as your heart is still alive. Only he who has lost his heart should be disappointed. You just need to rise up again, focus on your target and try again to achieve your goals with courage, determination and persistence.

I have taken this quote from my friend Shahzad Habib’s wall on facebook. This is true, every champion, every brave man, every determined individual takes every good chance in their lives and are never discouraged by the adversities. They are in a habit to accept the challenges. On the other hand, cowards always escape from accepting challenges.

How we can keep off tensions, worries, problems and anxiety in our life. This is how a teacher helped his class to understand an easy formula for this practice. He began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it.
He held it up for all to see & asked the students,
“How much do you think this glass weighs?”
‘50gms!’ …. ‘100gms!’ …..’125gms’, ..the students answered.
“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is: What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”
‘Nothing’ …..the students said.
‘Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked.
‘Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the students.
“You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”
“Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!”
….. ventured another student & all the students laughed
“Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?”
asked the professor.
‘No‘…. Was the answer.
“Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?”
The students were puzzled.
“What should I do now to come out of pain?” asked professor again.
“Put the glass down!” said one of the students.
“Exactly!” said the professor.
“Life’s problems are something like this.
Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.
Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.
Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.
It’s important to think of the challenges or problems in your life, but EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to ‘PUT THEM DOWN’ at the end of every day before You go to sleep.
That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!
So my friends, please ‘PUT THE GLASS DOWN TODAY! ‘, and surely you will lead a very happy and peaceful life.
This is a story of an ugly black woman from dirt poverty, absolutely nowhere, with no assistance whatever, having faced adversity at every step. She had a dream of becoming a barrister in England . She struggled all the way and become one eventually. Constance Briscoe, now 51, from north London , became the first part time black woman judge in England . But her path was only paved with hardships and obstacles. How she succeeded? Kept her dream, worked hard, and never gave up.
Her mother repeatedly abused her, verbally and physically by beating her with a shoe, cane, or belt, pinching her breasts & smashing. Her step father assaulted her.
She got inspired to go into law in childhood. Ignoring her school careers adviser, who told her to give up her dreams “for a job in Boots”, She took A-Levels at Sacred Heart school in south London .
While typical teenagers left it until the last minute before crawling out of their beds for breakfast, Ms Briscoe had already done two hours’ work as a cleaner before arriving at school.
She worked for one year to secure a study grant and then joined university, graduating with a 2:2. Ms Briscoe then joined Michael Mansfield’s chambers. She had hard time there too. She was racially abused for being black. It was a long struggle but she succeeded.
Moral: When you are determined to do something good, God helps you and nothing in this world can stop you achieving your goals.
