HR = High Risk?

After 2 years of selfless service, a man realized that he has not been promoted and even there is no transfer, no salary increment, no commendation. So he decided to walk up to his Human Resource Manager. His manager looked at him, smiled and asked him to sit down saying: “My friend you have not worked here for even a single day.” The man was surprised to hear this, but the manager went on to explain.
Manager: How many days are there in a year?
Man: 365 days and sometimes 366.
Manager:How many hours make up a day?
Man:24 Hours.
Manager: How long do you work in a day?
Man: 10am to 6pm i.e 8 hours a day.
Manager: So, what fraction of the day do you work in hours?
Man:He did some computation and said 8/24 i.e 1/3 (one third).
Manager: This is nice of you! what is 1/3rd of 366 days?
Man:122(1/3 x 366=122 in days)
Manager: Do you come to work on weekends?
Man: No sir.
Manager: How many days are there in a year that are weekends?
Man: 52 Saturdays and 52 Sundays equal to 104 days..
Manager: Thanks for that. If you remove 104 days from 122 days. How many days do you now have?
Man: 18 days.
Manager:I do give you 2 weeks sick leave every year. Now remove that 14 days from the 18 days left. How many days do you have left?
Man: 4 days.
Manager: Do you work on Eid ul Azha?
Man: No sir!
Manager: Do you come to work on Independence Day?
Man: No sir!
Manager: So how many days are left?
Man: 2 days Sir!
Manager: Do you come to work on Youm e Ashoora?
Man: No sir!
Manager: So how many days are left? smile1
Man: 1 day sir!
Manager: Do you work on Eid ul Fitr?
Man: No Sir!
Manager: So how many days are left?
Man: None Sir!
Manager: So what are you claiming?
Man: !!!….

Change your lens, change your world …

You cannot change the world but you can change yourself. The only way to keep you safe from outer negativity is to be positive. If you are positive, it means you have taken charge of yourself, your thinking pattern and your attitude and you cannot be controlled by what others do with you. You are the master of your mind, your action, your life. This is a great secret of happy and peaceful lie. So change your lens/your thoughts and change your world.

Wisdom is not conditioned to age, creed…

We often hear such words that experience is that comb which is given to a man when he starts going bald. What on earth we will do with that tool now …

Evidence shows and as Sheikh Sa’adi said that richness has nothing to do with the materialistic possessions and wisdom is not conditioned to age. Wisdom and sagacity are God-gifted traits which can be bestowed to a man of any age, creed, race, colour and religion.twangari-ba-dil-ast-na-ba-maal2

A story from Sheikh Sa’adi

An old man’s (darwesh) wife was pregnant. The old man prayed, “if God will give me a son, I’ll distribute all I have to the poor, all but the robe I’m wearing.” God accepted his prayers and the wife gave birth to a son so the old man gave everything he had to fulfill his vow. Several years later, I asked a friend about the darwesh. “He’s in Jail.” “Why?”, I asked. “His son got drunk, killed a man in a fight and fled. Consequently the father was put in chains.” The darwesh brought this upon himself through his praying! It would of been better if this child had been a snake, rather than this ungrateful son who does not take resposibility for his actions.

Lets please our master …

What do you think of the servant “ghulam” who does not obey his master? Surely you will think him a fool. What about our creator? We keep ignoring him in our all matters and put him only to swear, then how come we can expect Him to take care of our matters. Make Him your priority and He will make you His priority. Take one step towards Him, and He will take ten steps to help you out.

If you love your job and your wife …

The great chinese scholar Confucius said “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” True, happy is the man who loves his profession. When my students of MBA often ask me what area of specialization they should choose, literally I pity them. I tell them they should only adopt the area which matches thier temperament and thier aptitude. I feel very sorry when they say that most adds of newpaper offer job to such and such areas of education. What I tell them is that if they even get masters in Punjabi, nothing can stop them achieving success if they really love reading Punjabi. What I personally believe, if you love your job and you love your wife, a day will come when you would be a success story. zindagi-zinda-dili-ka-naam-ha

Super-being should set Super-goals

Man is caliph of God on earth and super-being so he is supposed to have some super goals to achieve. To struggle day and night to fulfill one’s physiological needs is needed but its a mean not an end. No doubt, man is required to earn enough to make his both ends meet but it should not be the mere aim. Man should rise himself above this objective and try to do something great, something extraordinary and something special which should justify his status in the scheme of the universe. The same thought has been narrated by the philosopher of the East, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal: the goal of the king of birds is not to fulfill only physical needs but its only a way to keep his blood warm, to help him keep moving towards his objectives.eagle-sky-bannerverse1

Positivity - the sure fire way to overcome adversities

Be positive and no problem, no misfortune, no hardship, no adversity can harm you. Positivity is a shelter which covers you from outer negativity. If you are positive in your thinking patterns, you will never be disappointed or hopeless, you will never give up, you will never loose heart. The magic of positive thinking helps you to be brave, to be consistent, to be determined and these are the qualities which help a man to win the battle of life.

Price of Success?

Every wothwhile thing has a price tag on it. You have to pay the price to own it. Like, to win love or beloved, also require some price to pay otherwise you would just be unable to get them. Similarly, success has its own price and this price is to be paid in the form of hardwork, persistency, perseverance, honesty and devotion. Untill you practise all these qualities of human kind, you would be away from success. The price of success has some other characteristics as well. You have to pay in advance and you have to pay in full otherwise success in not delivered to you.aesar-aitmad-lagan-naz-intizar

The aim makes great the life

Robert Browning said: “The aim, if reached or not, makes great the life. Try to be Shakespeare, leave the rest to fate.” Similar thoughts were shared by Henry David Thoreau, the prominent American naturalist. He said, “In the long run men only hit at what they aim. Therefore, though they should fail immediately, this is best they aim something high”. Success and failure don’t matter much. The real thing is to try, to keep on struggling, to press on with the will to win something great, something worthwhile, something extraordinary. This is what a man is required to do in the scheme of life.buland-himmat-o-azme-bashar-ka-kia-kahna

Lets restore hope … lets restore life

University of MUSHKILAT?

Napoleon gives good words in his book “you can make your own miracles” where he says that every individual who comes in this world has to graduate from University of Hard-Knocks. These are problems and adversities which make a man a man, which polish him and brush him up. I would rather add something to Napoleon’s views. There are certain levels of trainings in University of “MUSHKILAT” and the person who is to be assigned great job in the scheme of the world, he/she has to undertake the highest/toughest training course from this institution of nature. If you cannot bear problems, difficulties and adversities, you are not entitled to wear “success” crown.aab-pa-jaey-agar-qaid-sadaf-seh-jaey2

If the student is ready, the teacher will appear

Everything starts with some though, some intention. First you have some idea in the inner plane, then you attract physical energy to manifest that idea in the physical plane. You may not have clear idea where to go but keep on thinking on that. Then the universal energy, higher intelligence and your subconscious mind will help you find the way. You subconscious is so powerful that even it will start creating circumstance to pave the way where you should find your objectives. If you are ready to learn, to grow, to succeed, you will definitely be guided and helped. Remember, where there is will, there is way.

Character - Your Brand - Your real asset!

1- You are also a brand in yourself. 2- You are always on the way to advertise yourself. 3- You are what people say about you in your absence. 4- It is rightly said that people don’t believe what you say but they always believe what you do. 5- Your words may tell a story but your character tells the whole story. 6- Your words should always be in consistent with your actions. 7- Loose money for your character but never loose your character for money. 8- Character is what you are in the dark. 9- How you live your life, good or bad, all depends upon your character. 10- Character is your brand, your real asset, save and value it more than anything else.
