Blessings from Giving

Three young men were once given three kernels of corn apiece by a wise old sage, who admonished them to go out into the world, and use the corn to bring themselves good fortune.

The first young man put his three kernels of corn into a bowl of hot broth and ate them.

The second thought, I can do better than that, and he planted his three kernels of corn. Within a few months, he had three stalks of corn. He took the ears of corn from the stalks, boiled them, and had enough corn for three meals.

The third man said to himself, I can do better than that! He also planted his three kernels of corn, but when his three stalks of corn produced, he stripped one of the stalks and replanted all of the seeds in it, gave the second stalk of corn to a sweet maiden, and ate the third.

His one full stalk’s worth of replanted corn kernels gave him 200 stalks of corn! And the kernels of these he continued to replant, setting aside only a bare minimum to eat. He eventually planted a hundred acres of corn. With his fortune, he not only won the hand of the sweet maiden but purchased the land owned by the sweet maiden’s father. And he never hungered again.

Time is Free, But its Priceless …

You cannot own it, but you can use it. You cannot store it but you can spend it. Once you lost it, you can never get it back with you.

The Most Important Thing for You to Achieve in Your Life …

Happiness is the most important
thing for you to achieve in your life,
Happiness can not be gained,
It is earned by your heart.
Happiness can be found,
When you are close to God and obeying his words.
Happiness can be found,
When you show your kindness to others.
Happiness can be found,
When you are nice to those you hate.
Happiness can be found,
When you help others.
Happiness are the love and kindness,
And learn to enjoy what ever comes along.
Happiness is not far away from you,
It is close to you heart.
Happiness is serving God for all eternity,
and once you fulfilled your wish,
then you are the most happiest man.

A Poem by Ravi Sathasivam

The Real Strength of the Nation …

‘O wise man! The real asset of a nation is not money, material resources, silver and gold. Its real wealth is its youth who must be healthy, visionary, hardworking, vigilant and active.’ ___ Dr. Muhammad Iqbal (Poet Philosopher of the East)

Change Your Perspective and See Miraculous Change in Your World.

ow we view ourselves, others and the world has a profound effect on the quality of our lives. Change your perspective and see miraculous changes in your world.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Ask this question to an eight year old and you will receive an answer full of wonder and inspiration. You will hear unbelievable things. Children are full of wonder and hope.

In their beautiful little minds, failure is not even a remote possibility. They don’t know how it will happen, but they believe that it will. They have faith that they can do anything. Children have excellent vision.

Our vision becomes clouded and obscured over time. Someone tells us something negative about who we are, and our vision of how we see our “self” gets blurry. People around us tell us we cannot have, do or be whatever we want, because those wonderful things only happen to select people, and so how we view the possibility of achieving our dreams is now out of focus. We are told life is hard; people cannot be trusted, either through the fearful words of others or our own experience. We are told negative things about people of different races, genders, sexual preferences and political or religious views. Now our vision of how we see the world and everyone in it is distorted.

Just change your perspective and start believing in yourself and you will see miraculous changes in your physical life. Remember, the change starts in your inner plane or mind first and then it is transformed in your physical world.

Keep Your Chin Up in face of Adversities …

Keep your chin up in face of adverse circumstances and finally you will be able to overcome them. God does not put burden on a human which they cannot carry. Robert Browning has rightly said, ‘People who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want. And if they don’t find them, create them.’ Iqbal has equaled their ‘hesitation to fight battle of life’ to that of defeat.gurez-kashmakash-e-zindagi-say-mardon-ki

The Five R’s to overcome your Negative Thinking

In fact, the harder you try to ‘not think about’ something that is negative, the more powerful and entrenched in your mind that negative thought becomes, and the greater the negative influence it has on your performance. The only way to stop negative thoughts is to shift your thinking to thoughts - and images - that are both positive and productive with regard to your personal performance. Since the human mind can only process one thought at a time, you must actively choose to direct your mind toward (i.e. focus on) a Dominant Thought that is positive, productive, and directly related to how you want to perform. By doing so, you will deny the mind the processor “capacity” required to dwell on the negative.

The Five R’s are key words that summarize a Negative Thought Stopping procedure that can help you achieve this goal. Each word sets up the thought process for the next step in this sequential procedure. Implementing this thought process on a consistent basis, with intensity, is critical to successfully learning to stop negative or counter-productive thoughts.

Recognize - Recognizing that you are having a negative thought is a critical first step in learning to control negative thoughts. Consciously increasing your awareness and vigilance with regard to negative thinking will aid in the recognition and control of counter-productive and self-destructive thinking. You must be “on guard” to recognize the first signs of negative thinking in order to crush that thought before it has a chance to fully form and strongly take hold of your conscious mind.

Refuse - You must refuse to allow the negative thought to continue and gain strength by some positive and defined action (e.g. visualize a STOP sign in your mind’s eye; snap a rubber band across your wrist every time you have a negative thought; etc.). You must do something to disrupt the negative image and/or thought in order to prevent it from growing stronger. By doing this, you begin the process of shifting your mind away from the negative thought.

Relax - Use any of a number of techniques that can help you to relax: take a deep, controlled breath; use a verbal trigger to shift your thoughts and feelings to a relaxing image; etc. When you are relaxed, the effect of mental programming is more powerful and you are ensuring that the next step in this 5-step procedure will have an increased potential to be effective.

Reframe - The 4th step in the Negative Thought Stopping procedure serves to complete a mental shift toward images and thoughts that are consistent with your best performance. Replace the negative thought with a positive image or thought. “I AM in control of my thoughts and actions, I can choose to respond and think the way I want to.” “I’ve been here before and done this before, so I know I can do it again.” “This is part of the process that I have chosen.” Use imagery to ‘see’ and ‘feel’ the performance you want to achieve and how you want to BE as you achieve it.

Resume - Continue your activities with a sense of confidence and control. You will always enjoy strong sense of confidence if you tie this mindset to a personal commitment to always give nothing but your best effort, regardless of the situation or outcome. The degree of effort you apply to the challenges that you face on an ongoing basis is totally, 100% within your control… it is one of the few things that is, in fact, fully within your control. Think about what you are like when you perform with excellence and what you want to achieve, and develop your confidence by always applying your best effort to achieve it.

The next time you feel negative thoughts grabbing hold, use these Five R’s to effectively change your thought patterns and bring about powerful results in your life. Make this your new habit!

Robert Ballard - Discover of the Titanic

Fortunately, I can visualize in three-dimensions. I think any good field mapper can look at a map and see the Grand Canyon in three dimensions. You conceptualize, because you can’t see more than 30 or 40 feet under the ocean. So you must have a complete sense of reference. I don’t know whether that’s a gift, a compass that’s built into your brain, like a bird’s ability to migrate. I can know where north, south, east and west is at all times. I can remember where I was, and I can integrate it all in my mind. So when I go down there, I’m not lost. I’m very comfortable in total darkness with just a flashlight. It’s like working in the Rocky Mountains at night in a snowstorm from a helicopter with a spotlight. You can develop that skill. Certain people have that three-dimensional skill set.

Dare to be Great …

In Human history all great achievers were idealists: never realists, cynics or pessimists. It was idealism that drove Hillary to conquer Mount Everest.

Those who made great achievements throughout history have one thing in common. They have all been dreamers or desirers. If anyone is to achieve their goals in life then the first thing they need to do is establish clearly what their desires are, what they truly want to achieve.

Secondly, great achievements arise only with our great challenges. As a nation  or even as individuals, we are going to be challenged greatly. How well we do depends on our willingness to “dare to be great”; to take the challenges and run with them.
